Shape the next generation of aviators
Volunteer as a CFI and directly teach young people the skills, decision-making, and passion that defines aviation. You're not just logging hours — you're building the next generation of pilots, mechanics, engineers, and aviation professionals.
Mentor aspiring aviators
Work one-on-one with students ages 8–18, teaching them to think like pilots and make sound aviation decisions.
Build your CFI portfolio
Gain diverse instructional experience across multiple age groups, flight scenarios, and learning styles.
Connect with the community
Network with other CFIs, mechanics, and aviation professionals across Arizona's seven training locations.
Flexible scheduling
Work around your schedule. Volunteer as many or as few hours as you can commit to.
Minimum Requirements
- • 500+ flight hours minimum
- • Active CFI certificate or rated pilot certificate (Commercial or ATP)
- • Current medical certificate
- • Clean background check
