Buy a plane.
Let it pay you back.
We Help You Buy, Base, and Earn
From the first walkaround to a signed purchase agreement, Legacy Aviation walks you through buying a Cirrus or any light aircraft, then turns it into a leaseback income stream inside the club.
Owner Review
From a real buyer.
I called Jonathan after dealing with another club that over promised and under delivered on timeline and charged excessive fees. We closed our first plane within two weeks and now buying a multiengine. The first Cirrus is already booked for at least 20 hours its first week. I'd highly recommend working with Jonathan, he is very knowledgeable and gets the job done.

Why Own
Flying is freedom.
Owning an aircraft is not about the machine. It is about deciding on a Friday morning that this weekend looks different, and being in the air an hour later.
Airport-hop on a whim
Breakfast in Sedona, lunch in Flagstaff, home by dinner. Arizona has 80+ public airports. A Cirrus turns a four-hour drive into a 35-minute flight.
Weather you can read
Garmin Perspective synthetic vision, datalink weather, and onboard radar mean you see the picture a driver never can. You fly around storms, not into them.
Skip the TSA line
No terminals, no pat-downs, no gate waits. You drive to the ramp, load your bags, and go. The plane leaves when you do.
Go where cars cannot
Backcountry strips, island runways, mountain strips. An aircraft unlocks places a car simply cannot reach.
Buy Cirrus · Buy Safety
The safest single-engine aircraft ever built.
We sell and base Cirrus aircraft because they are engineered around one idea: if something goes wrong, the airplane should bring your family home.
CAPS parachute
Pull one handle and a rocket deploys a whole-airframe parachute. Over 100 lives saved in real emergencies. Standard on every Cirrus ever built.
Perspective+ glass cockpit
The same avionics platform used in professional flight training. Traffic, weather, terrain, and synthetic vision on two big displays.
Airbag seatbelts
Front seats wear AmSafe airbag harnesses, the same technology Boeing and Airbus use. Aviation-grade impact protection built in.
Best-selling, best-supported
Cirrus is the best-selling single-engine aircraft for 10+ years running. That means parts availability, trained mechanics, and strong resale value.
Leaseback
Your plane pays you every month.
A leaseback puts your aircraft in the Legacy fleet. Renters fly it, the club handles scheduling, billing, insurance, and maintenance, and you receive a monthly settlement. Here is a realistic projection for a used Cirrus SR20.
At ~$2,600 net per month, a well-utilized SR20 leaseback can cover its hangar, insurance, and maintenance reserve, plus a meaningful slice of the aircraft payment itself. Fly it yourself at the dry rate and let the rest of the month pay the bills.
Projections are illustrative based on typical SR20 utilization. Actual results vary with aircraft condition, utilization, and your dry-rate agreement.
Work With a Club
Own without owning the headaches.
Private ownership means a private hangar, a private insurance policy, and you on the phone with mechanics. The club absorbs all of it, for a fraction of the cost.
No hangar to lease
Members keep their plane in a Legacy hangar. You skip the $500+/month private hangar hunt and the multi-year waitlist at Falcon Field.
Commercial insurance, covered
The club carries the commercial policy that lets renters legally fly your aircraft. You are not personally underwriting every student pilot.
Qualified renters, vetted
Every renter is checked out by a CFI on type, current on flight review and medical, and signed off on your specific aircraft. We filter who touches your keys.
Your plane earns while you sleep
Your aircraft is scheduled, billed, and maintained by the club. You see a monthly statement and a recurring deposit, not a spreadsheet.
Maintenance on field
Annuals, oil changes, squawks, and 100-hour inspections handled by our maintenance partners. You are not calling around for an A&P.
Seven airports, one membership
Base at Falcon Field and fly from Glendale, Chandler, Cottonwood, Casa Grande, or Benson. Scheduling access at all of them.
Ownership Questions
Before you write the check.
Do I have to buy a Cirrus?
No. We help you evaluate any make and model that fits our training mission and insurance envelope. Cirrus is what we know best and what earns the strongest leaseback return, but the process works for Cessna, Piper, and Diamond airframes too.
How much can I actually make on leaseback?
It depends on aircraft type, utilization, and your dry-rate agreement. A well-utilized SR20 commonly nets $2,000 to $3,000 per month after the club cut, insurance, and maintenance reserve. We will walk you through a real projection for your specific aircraft before you sign anything.
Who pays for maintenance and insurance?
In a leaseback, the club carries the commercial insurance and handles scheduled maintenance, with costs deducted from your monthly settlement. You retain ownership and approve any major work. The structure is transparent and you see every line.
Can I still fly my own plane?
Always. Your aircraft is yours. Leaseback members get priority scheduling on their own aircraft and pay only the dry rate when they fly personally.
What if I do not want to lease it back?
That is fine too. We help you buy, base, insure, and maintain a private aircraft with no rental obligation. The club still gives you hangar access, scheduling, and maintenance support at a lower cost than going it alone.
