What is the minimum age to take a discovery flight?

Discovery Flights start at age 5. Intro to Flying classes also start at age 5. Private flight lessons begin at age 11.

Is Kids in Aviation an approved Arizona ESA vendor?

Yes. Kids in Aviation is an approved vendor under Arizona's Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program. Most programs qualify including Discovery Flights, summer camp, private lessons, and test prep.

How much does a discovery flight cost?

Discovery Flights are $300 and include approximately 15 minutes of ground school and 45 minutes in the aircraft. An extra rider can be added for $50.

Are scholarships available?

Yes. NextGen Pilots 501(c)(3) offers scholarships for Discovery Flights, summer camp, and private lessons. No essay required. Two-week decision turnaround.

Where is Kids in Aviation located?

Our headquarters is at Falcon Field Airport, 4562 East Mallory Circle Suite 101, Mesa, AZ 85215. We also operate at Chandler, Deer Valley (Phoenix), Williams, Casa Grande, Benson, and Tucson.
