Scholarship Fund

No student should miss out on aviation because of finances. We fund Discovery Flights, summer camp, and flight lessons for families who need support. Applications require a student essay, letters of recommendation, academic records, and an in-person interview.

Tell us about yourself, your passion for aviation, your academic achievements, and your goals. This should be your own words.

Letters of Recommendation

Provide at least one letter from a teacher, coach, mentor, or other adult (not a parent) who can speak to the student's character and potential.

Include the recommender's name, relationship to the student, and their statement.

📋 Scholarship Terms & Conditions

  • Funds are paid directly to the flight school. Scholarship awards are never disbursed as cash to the student or family. Payment goes directly to Kids in Aviation / the licensed flight training provider on the student's behalf.
  • In-person interview required. Shortlisted applicants must attend an in-person interview at Falcon Field, Mesa, AZ. Interview scheduling will be coordinated by email.
  • Academic records may be requested. The scholarship board may request a copy of the student's transcript or most recent report card during the review process.
  • Awards are not guaranteed. Submission of an application does not guarantee an award. All decisions are made at the sole discretion of the NextGen Pilots 501(c)(3) scholarship board.
  • Funds must be used within 12 months. Scholarship funds not applied within 12 months of the award date may be forfeited.
