How are my hours used?
The Instructor hours are used anytime the student is with the instructor, this includes ground school, simulator time or flying.
The airplane rental hours are only used when the student flies the airplane and covers the cost of the airplane rental and fuel.
Example: If a flight student's lesson is 1.5 hour total and they fly for 1 hour during the lesson, the amount of hours used would be 1.5 instructor hours and 1 airplane rental hour.
